NSW All Schools Swimming Championships

Last Friday, Lillie McPherson (Year 7) competed at the NSW All Schools Swimming Championships. Lillie managed to take home two firsts in 50m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle, as well as come third in her age group. Not to mention making three new personal bests in 50m Free, 50m Butterfly and 100m Free.

An overall amazing and well deserved effort. Congratulations, Lillie!

AICES Touch Football

Last week, May 26, eight students competed in the AICES touch football competition, representing the CDSSA association.

Hannah Bosland, Olivia Butcher and Mikayla Harvey competed in the Open Girls division, winning five out of six games and finishing as Runner's Up in the competition. Hannah was chosen to play in the possibles vs probables match and was selected into the AICES team.

Talea Tonga, Sienna Villacorta-Bateman, Brooke Bosland, and Laila Jenkins played in the 15yrs girls team. Unfortunately, Laila suffered a leg injury and had to leave early. Congratulations to both Brooke and Talea for being chosen for the AICES 15s team, and as well to Sienna for being selected as a shadow.

Xavier Bosland also represented Pittwater House in the 15yrs boys division, his team placing fourth overall.

Best of luck to Brooke, Talea, and Hannah for the upcoming State competition.

AICES Football

On Wednesday the 5th of May, four students (Sienna Batton, Asha Franklin, Zara Kasprowicz and Sienna Villacorta-Bateman) attended the ACIES Football Championships. The CDSSA team played four games and won them all to finish the day as the ACIES champions.

Congrats to all the girls.

IRBD Dance

On the Saturday the 29th of May, the Senior and Junior company dance troupes competed in the eisteddfod, IRBD (I’d Rather Be Dancing). The senior company, composed of students in college 7-12, showcased their performance, “Bitter Earth” choreographed by Miss Giovanelli, and Miss Mandi from DNA (Dance North Academy). The piece depicted the impact of climate change and how humans are so blindsided about the effect’s pollution has on the Earth.

The troupe competed against many different schools from all across NSW and ended with

an amazing result of 3rd place and a score of 80/100 from both judges. Congratulations to all

the girls who competed and good luck for all the next eisteddfods.
