This term our new charity prefect, Taya Garner, has successfully involved the school in the support of two charities. These include Peninsula Seniors Toy Recycler and Acts of Kindness.

Through the donation of non-perishable food items and toys, as well as money donations, the school has contributed a large and amazing donation to these charities.

On the 11th of December everyone is invited to come to Billarong reserve scout hall in Narrabeen from 10 - 2 to help pack the hampers for Acts of Kindness.

There are numerous local charities which you can also donate to leading up to Christmas, as well as throughout the next year. Two examples are listed below:

  • Homelessness

Dignity is a local (Sydney) non for profit organisation that strives to collaboratively end homelessness throughout Australia.

As well as providing people experiencing or at risk of

homelessness in Australia support,

Dignity provides them with shelter, clothing and food.

Additionally, they aim to change the attitudes of the homeless to achieve their goals.

  • Childhood cancer

The local charity Help 4 Kids provides the funds for essential equipment and treatments to save lives or give children under 15 years of age the best chance of survival.

The charity improves the lives of children, supports Sydney’s children’s hospitals, purchases aids and equipment, and supports their local community.
