1. What is your favourite activity to do in your free time?
Morgan house captain Lara said that she enjoys watching Netflix and going out with friends. Zane said that he likes going out with friends and going to the gym.
Orrock house captains Charlie and Milla both said that they love to play soccer in their free time.
2. Why did you want to become a leader?
Lara said that she saw the leaders working more closely than ever before last year, which inspired her to become a leader and also she thought it would be nice to be involved and share her new ideas. Zane said that he thought it would be a great experience and a way to be known for something at the school.
Charlie wanted to be a leader because he’d been at the school pretty much all his life and wanted to make an impact. Milla said that in year 6 she was a leader and she found the experience of helping others and making an impact very rewarding, and after doing a fundraiser in year 11 she wanted to continue making a difference.
3. What is your favourite thing about being a leader?
Lara said that she enjoys being able to give her input and help organise big things around the school. Zane said he loves house spirit and making house spirit.
Charlie said that he loves getting involved with the younger kids. Milla said she likes finding ideas which the prefect team can work on as a whole and helping the school.
4. If you could change one thing about the school, what would it be?
Lara said she would change the participation rates of things so that people could get involved just for the fun of things. Zane agreed with this saying that while COVID didn’t help, it would be great to bring the participation rates back up.
Charlie and Milla both agreed that more house-oriented activities would be nice.
5. Do you have a favourite house chant, and if so what is it?
Unfortunately, the Morgan House captains did not have a favourite house chant. However, they said that having more house meetings in the future would help everyone get together to workshop some chants.
And, the Orrock house captains didn’t have one either! Except for the classic Go Orrock.
6. What’s your favourite food and why?
Lara said she loves Carbonara pasta on any occasion and Zane said that he loves air fried veggies!
Charlie’s favourite food is sushi because it has a bit of everything. Milla loves any type of pasta because no matter what sauce you put on it, it still tastes good.
7. What’s your favourite artist?
Zane said his favourite artist is The Weekend and Lara said she loves Khalid, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande.
Charlie’s favourite artist is a director, and is Mark Szasy. Milla doesn’t know but she said she’ll just watch or listen to anything she wants.
8. What is your favourite aspect of our school?
Both Morgan Captains said that they love the small community and the fact that you pretty much know everyone.
They both agreed that the community is really nice and not having too much of a distant relationship between year groups. Milla also mentioned that having smaller classes allows you to have more help from your teachers.
9. What is your favourite subject?
Zane said his favourite subject was Maths, and I think Lara said hers was DT. When listening back on the recording I couldn’t hear it clearly so I am sorry if it is wrong!
Charlie’s favourite subject is Economics because he likes learning about what’s happening in the world, and Milla’s is PDHPE because she likes to learn about what’s happening in the body.
