Therapy dogs help thousands every year with anxiety, depression and other illnesses. Jake is our school's therapy dog and we have decided to interview him for this article. His owner Trish brings him in every Thursday, where you can normally find him hanging around the library!
Q1: How long have you been a therapy dog?
Jake: Woof, woof woof.
Translation: 10 years

Q2: How old are you?
Jake: Woof.
Translation: I am 12
Q3: What breed are you?
Jake: Woof woof!
Translation: I am a groodle, part golden retriever and part poodle.
Q4:What is your favourite treat?
Jake: Woof, woof woof.
Translation: I love chicken and cheese
Q5: What do you do as a therapy dog?
Jake: Woof woof woof woof woof.
Translation: I often calm people whilst they pat me. When the people pat me it often allows them to relax which is why therapy dogs like me are so useful.
Q6: Do you know any tricks?
Jake: Woof woof.
Translation: I know multiple tricks but my favourite one is shake because that is how I greet people.

Q7: Where do you work?
Jake: Woof, woof woof woof. Woof.
Translation: I actually work at prisons, to help the staff, nursing homes, for the elderly and schools, for students.
Q8: How many schools do you work at?
Jake: Woof, woof woof.
Translation: This is the only school I work at.
Q9: How many people do you see?
Jake: Woof, woof woof woof woof.
Translation: It really depends where I am. While I am at school I usually see 200- 250 people whereas when I am helping the prison staff I only see 25-50.
Q10: Why are you so cute?
Jake: Woof.
Translation: Because I just am.
