What is the Cadet Ceremonial

The Cadet Ceremonial is an annual parade that celebrate the achievements and progress made by the cadets who’ve been training this year, who use the parade as an opportunity to display the skills they have carefully accrued in cadet training to not only their fellow cadets, but cadet rank and the wider Pittwater House Community.

Words from the RSM, Rory Connors

How did you think the Parade Went?

Excellent! Really, really well - the cadets were trained and ready, the drum core were on point, the band had been rehearsing for weeks, and to top it off, the weather couldn’t have been better. The cadets couldn’t have done better, our Reviewing Officer and former Pittwater House student, Major General Roger Noble, said he hadn’t seen a better cadet parade in his 40 odd years of experience. He’s right and with 2 ceremonials missed due to Covid, I don’t think I could commend my cadets highly enough.

Who was the Reviewing Officer/Guest of Honour?

Major General Roger Noble, the Australian Ambassador for Counter Terrorism is a national security professional with over 30 years of experience, he has been involved in the planning and execution of multiple large scale and complex campaigns and has taken multiple tours of operational duty involving both peacekeeping and combat missions. He has been placed under deputy command responsibility fir the US Army pacific numbering over 100,000 personnel, with extensive international engagement experience with over 25 years in the Middle East and wide, recent military and diplomatic roles in the Indo-Pacific, Europe and North America and is known to be one of the most operationally and professionally experienced military officers of his generation.

Of one of 3 cadet companies at Pittwater House, Noble Company was named after Major General Roger Noble. He has seen active service in Iraq in 1992, East Timor in 2001-2002, Afghanistan in 2002 and is served as Deputy Commanding General in FOB Union III In Bagdad, Iraq, seconded to the United States Army in 2016 and deployed with the 101st Airborne Division as Deputy Coalition Land Force Commander, Iraq as part of operation Inherent Resolve.
